These 18 gender reveal ideas using food are so cute! Seriously such fun ways to reveal your baby’s gender!
So last week was my gender ultrasound! Yay! It was so much fun to get to see baby #3 again all wiggly and with its tiny little bones. One of my favorite things to see on an ultrasound is the baby’s tiny little spine! So cute!
Anyway, since the kids didn’t get to come with us, I wanted to come up with a cute way to tell them what we were having, and I decided I wanted to do it with food (because duh, yum!)! So I rounded up 18 sweet gender reveal ideas using food and I want to share them with you today! And just a hint, if you want to know what we are having, scroll down to number 18!!
And as is usual in roundups, please click the links below the photos and pin from the source. These ladies worked hard and I want to make sure they get credit! Now here we go!

Yes!! Baby Johnson #3 is a boy! We are all so excited! Little J was hoping for a girl at first, so I tried to explain to him that a boy would be fun, too, so then he changed his mind and wanted a boy, so he is thrilled! Little A didn’t have a preference since she just barely turned two and I don’t think she really gets what is coming. But yay! I wasn’t really sure either way and I would’ve been happy either way, but basically the first thing the tech put up on the ultrasound was proof that he was a boy! It was a fun ultrasound and I can already tell that he’s going to fit right in. He has a personality already and he kept showing off for us. I can’t wait to get out all of Little J’s old clothes and get started on the nursery decorations. I have some ideas but we’ll see how it all comes together.
Anyway, hooray for babies and for gender reveal ideas using food! Is there really any other better way to tell your friends and family what you are having? I do not think so (but that could be the pregnancy talking!).

Congratulations Chelsea!!! Love all of these cute, delicious and fun gender reveal ideas. I didn’t do anything fancy with my first pregnancy but with my second one (twins) we did. We bought balloons and in two of them we filled one with pink party glitter and the other one with blue. Then for the other balloons we left it empty. So My family had to pop the balloons to find out what my hubby and I were having!

I love using food to reveal! We did cake pops with Jack, and then with Oliver, we made truffles for our family. It was fun! For some reason I really love that cake with the candy in the middle. And congrats again! I just love boys 🙂 I think the donut idea is so much fun!

How fun! I’m glad I’m not the only one who enjoys using food! Truffles sound delicious!!! Thanks, Katie!

Wow, so many ideas here I’ve never seen before. I really liked that one with the bubble gum, so cute! Also the subtleness of the cotton candy one. Little J is going to have so much fun with his brother, and I’m sure they’ll both be bossed around by Little A haha!
Chelsea Johnson says
Thanks! I found that one a few years ago and have always thought it was so cute! And yes, he is super excited to teach him all about trains and cars and playing soccer, which he hasn’t even started yet haha! And Little A will definitely be adding some spice to the mix!

So cute! I never thought there were so many cool ways to make the reveal. I definitely love the pinata cake. Not only is it bright and colorful but you have the tiny balls coming out as well.

Right? I had no idea either, until I started researching ideas!!
